Team USA celebrated as the chequered flag waved to end Karting Mini Qualifying Practice, as Joshua Bergman secured pole position for each of his three heats tomorrow.

The young American (pictured above with Stéphane Ratel, Founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group) produced a stellar lap as he pipped Team Netherlands’ Senn Lindeman and Team Portugal’s Xavier Lázaro in the faster second group.

Such has been the vast entry for the Karting Mini category – making its FIA Motorsport Games debut in 2024 – the 40-strong entry for drivers aged 8-11 was split into two groups for Practice and Qualifying Practice sessions.

Three drivers that featured highly during Practice duly went out and delivered during the opening group of qualifying, as home hero Nuvola Morales Mendez set the pace for Team Spain. Such was the competitiveness that Team India’s Rivaan Dev Preetham was just 0.008s off the summit in second, whilst Team Estonia’s Bennet Korjus was third.
