Team Venezuela and Team Dominican Republic were the top performers in the pair of Esports F4 Last Chance races in Valencia this evening.
A fine drive from Ismail Oublal kept Team Venezuela in the hunt for a medal. He held off pressure from Canada’s Kevin Andrew Foster to win the first race. Argentina, Portugal and Israel also did enough to make it through. One high-profile casualty was Team Germany, which was eliminated in a multi-car clash early on.
Manuel Troncoso controlled the second outing to score victory for Team Dominican Republic ahead of Quentin Vialatte of Team France and Iceland’s Hakon Darri Jokulsson. Belgium and Uruguay were the final two nations to qualify.
This pair of races caps a mammoth day of Esports, with a total of 10 races held within the City of Arts & Sciences across Friday.
