The Cross Car categories, as part of the Off Road discipline, had a very busy Friday at Aspar Circuit. The Senior, Junior and Mini categories combined for five hours of group runs that included Free Practice 1, Free Practice 2, Qualifying Practice 1 and Qualifying Practice 2.
All in all, it was hometown Team Spain that came out on top of the trio of categories.
Amongst Senior drivers aged 16+, the Qualifying 1 and 2 results placed Ivan Pina Chinchilla in first place with a time of 39.147 seconds. Of Junior drivers between 13 – 15 years old, it was Diego Martinez on top at 39.873 seconds and for the youngest Mini category, Hugo Fuertes at 11 years old posted a best time of three minutes, 46.726 seconds.
Saturday features a trio of heats that will impact Sunday’s final Cross Car races of the FIA Motorsport Games. The three categories will split into groups and begin competing at 10:25, 12:20 and 14:50, all after a warm-up scheduled for 8:50.
